Bruins’ David Pastrnak Causes Water Bottle To Explode With Filthy Goal...
BOSTON — We hope Cam Ward wasn’t too thirsty Thursday night. The Carolina Hurricanes goaltender and his club led the Boston Bruins by a score early in the third period at TD Garden, but that advantage wouldn’t hold thanks to an impressive goal by Bruins forward David Pastrnak. Pastrnak skated down the left side on a 2-on-1 rush early in the third and froze Canes defenseman Brett Pesce by holding onto the puck. He then uncorked a blistering wrist shot that beat Ward to tie the game at 2-2 with 15 minutes to play. The Bruins lost 3-2 in overtime, but the young Czech forward’s goal allowed Boston to salvage a point out of the night, which moved the club into sole possession of first place in the NHL’s Atlantic Division.
