Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte came to work on Sunday and torched the Green Bay Packers during the first half of their Week 1 matchup.

ESPN's Rob Demovsky made note of Forte's impressive halftime stats.

true

Forte's 105 yards on 16 carries factors out to an average of 6.6 yards per carry. He scored on a one-yard touchdown plunge to cap off an 80-yard drive in the second quarter, and his longest run in the first half was 23 yards.

On top of that, Forte also led the Bears with three receptions for 19 yards in the first half against the Packers.

Forte, 29, has eclipsed 1,800 yards from scrimmage each of the past two seasons, so this type of production is nothing new for him in a contract year.
