Celta Vigo beats Sevilla, joins Madrid atop Spanish league

MADRID (AP) Striker Manuel Nolito and midfielder Daniel Wass scored a goal each Sunday as Celta Vigo defeated Sevilla 2-1 to join Real Madrid atop the Spanish league.

Nolito put Celta ahead with a shot from inside the area in the 15th minute and Wass added another in the 25th before substitute Fernando Llorente scored for Sevilla in the 54th at Sevilla's Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

It was the third victory in four matches for Celta, which matched Madrid's 10 points atop the standings. Real Madrid beat Granada 1-0 on Saturday.

Barcelona has won all of its three matches so far and can retake the lead with a home victory against winless Levante later Sunday.

Atletico Madrid is third in the standings with nine points from four matches.
