Fuzzy Muzzle, Stiffed, Chubble Maker win at Monmouth Park

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) New Jersey-breds Fuzzy Muzzle, Stiffed and Chubble Maker raced to stakes victories Saturday at Monmouth Park in the New Jersey Thoroughbred Festival.

Vicente Gudiel rode Fuzzy Muzzle to a 4 1/4-length victory in the $60,000 Charles Hesse III Handicap. Fuzzy Muzzle ran 1 1/16 miles on the fast main track in 1:45, and paid $12.60, $5.60 and $3.60. The 6-year-old gelding has four career victories.

No More Music returned $4.20 and $3.20, and Gadget Man paid $4.20 to show.

In the $60,000 Jersey Girl Handicap, Stiffed raced to a 1 1/4-length victory. The 4-year-old filly, ridden by Gabriel Saez, ran 1 1/16 miles in 1:45 2/5 and paid $2.60 to win in the three-horse field.

Chubble Maker won the $60,000 New Jersey Breeders Handicap by a length.
