Kevin Love ‘a month, month and a half’ away from returning for Cavaliers

Kevin Love was lost in the first round of the playoffs due to a shoulder injury that required surgery. With training camp just a few weeks away, Love may not be back for the start of it — but he should be back near the beginning of the regular season.

"I feel great," Love said, in an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers. "I actually spent three weeks in Park City, Utah at the Olympic training facility there, rehabbed my shoulder, got in great shape and now I feel great. I’m probably about a month, month and a half away, I don’t want to set an immediate deadline now but I really feel great."

Just like with Kyrie Irving and his knee injury, there's no pressure for the Cavaliers to rush Love back. This team's goal is to be fully healthy and firing on all cylinders in time for a run deep into the postseason, so as long as everyone's back healthy a couple of months before then to build some on-court chemistry, everything will be right on schedule.
