The UConn’s women’s basketball team is likely to win another national championship under legendary head coach Geno Auriemma this season.
The Huskies already have cruised through the three rounds of the NCAA Tournament, but this team did something in Saturday’s Sweet 16 win over Mississippi State that had never been seen before and set a record as a result.

The Bulldogs never had a chance after a first quarter that was completely dominated by UConn.

UConn is no stranger to blowout wins, even in the NCAA Tournament. The Huskies have notched 50-point tournament wins in back-to-back seasons.

Next up for UConn in the Elite Eight is No. 2 seed Texas in the East region. A win for the Huskies would their 73rd in a row and send them to another Final Four.
